An eco-savvy afternoon with Mikka Green

July 7, 2013 0

Mum and I were invited to Tunku Kaiyisah’s tea party this afternoon to celebrate Mikka Green, her eco-friendly sustainable movement that’s set to make green trends simple, sexy and FUN in Malaysia. The proliferation of eco-friendly shops and brands is one thing about England I definitely miss (is that obvious I am totally middle class?) so it is nice to see someone bringing this kind of thinking into Malaysia.

Anyway, I had fun! The place was decorated with these cute cards printed with eco-friendly tips – as someone with two computers, my particular favourite involved sleeping computers. The Mikka Green team had laid out pre-loved items for sale so mum and I did a bit of shopping. I got myself a new make-up bag and brushes by Alicia Silverstone, everybody’s favourite vegan girl, and a couple of pre-loved tops because everyone loves a recycler 🙂

What did I not like about the afternoon? Nothing much…fatty here just regrets not tucking in to the food a little more because the bruschetta I did taste was amazing!
