Rinpoche, Jean Mei and I at the Chamang waterfall at the beginning of 2012, when Kechara Forest Retreat was still all-jungle and totally wild. I’d just come out of the hospital after spending nearly two months there, and this was my first outing with Rinpoche after I’d been discharged. Who knew a “routine” laparoscopic appendisectomy […]

Rinpoche brought this team together to give hundreds of thousands of people a different kind of future. Thanks to Rinpoche’s unending care, and this team who are building Kechara Forest Retreat, I have a nice place to grow old in 🙂

Knowing Bentong is pretty limited food-wise and wanting us to have at least one good meal everyday, Rinpoche arranged for the Ladrang to provide us monsters in Manjushri Hill with one home-cooked meal everyday. Few days ago we had aloo gobi 🙂

We always have Rinpoche‘s support when we have an idea that helps people, no matter how outlandish it may be!

At the half-way point, AND it’s Throw Back Thursday so I thought I’d do something a little special. On the left is one of the first photos I ever took with Rinpoche; in the middle is Rinpoche at the height of his modelling career, and on the right is in the middle of my gap […]

Rinpoche saw this statue in Nepal and immediately wanted it for our Dharma centre. Back then, we only had Kechara House 1 and this Je Tse Zin Ma statue was a HUGE deal because it was expensive and our biggest one yet. 10 years later, we have Kechara Forest Retreat and so many larger Tsongkhapa […]

Rinpoche sent this to me today, when I was struggling to calm my mind down enough to write coherently. I know this is a repost but it wasn’t until I finished writing that piece that it dawned on me just how useful this quote had been.

Four years ago, Rinpoche asked my mother and I if my sister should join Kechara and how to bring her in. Four years on and thanks to Rinpoche’s guidance and nurturing, she’s blossomed into someone who is even more caring, kind and mature than she was before. Champion of the underdog and ready to forgive […]

I haven’t had the honour of being near Rinpoche in a while. Rinpoche has been in KL taking care of Mumu who is sick and as half the team moved to KL to assist Rinpoche, I stayed back in Kechara Forest Retreat (KFR) to help continue our work. Rinpoche has also been busy meeting different […]
